Our Strategic Approach
The name "Right-Sized View" is a play on two concepts key to our strategic approach to technology planning: right-sized solutions and right view.
Would you buy travel insurance for a trip to the grocery store on the next block? Do you bring snow boots to the beach, just in case? Those are, of course, ridiculous scenarios. Yet when it comes to technology, many organizations mistakenly believe they require expensive solutions that try to anticipate every conceivable problem, however unlikely.
We believe strongly in the power of right-sized technology, i.e., timely, cost-effective solutions appropriate to the scope and scale of our clients' needs. Sometimes that means a short-term solution to today's pain; sometimes that means a measured, incremental approach to the big picture. Regardless, we always focus on meeting the actual needs of the present without limiting the future.
The Buddha taught that Right View, seeing and understanding things as they really are, is the beginning of the path to end suffering. Even though that was 2,500 years ago, we've found this same wisdom to be an important aspect of successful technology consulting. We know that some of what we do can be highly subjective, but, trust us, once opinion drives the decision-making process, everyone feels pain. That's why we employ recognized best practices, web standards, and usability analysis to guide us along our way. This information, atop a solid understanding of what you're hoping to accomplish, enables us to cut through the subjectivity and make informed recommendations about your technology.
